ERRRskate, Skate if you're nasty

At this point this is just becoming an account of my gaming journey. I'll let it rock.

🎮🧵 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) Let me start off by saying I haven't cared about COD's MP in over a decade. I think it's a crude & boorish waste of my time (if it's your thing, please play on!), but I'm struck by how impactful & unflinching the campaigns can be when given time to develop.

🎮🧵Batman Arkham Origins: Blackgate (2014). Backlog pick on a whim. I don't like to harp on bad games but holy shit it's just so much worse than I imagined. Just a poorly made game and Jesus H it is just so stupidly dark. Roger Craig Smith is great as Batman, but isn't given much to do.

🎮🧵 The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages (2001). The title in my notes is mislabeled "Oracle of Stress" and that is frankly fitting. With the exception of A Link Between Worlds, every portable Zelda game I've played has a special knack for making me feel dumb. This is just another in a line.

🎮🧵 Bodycount (2011). It’s unfun and disrespectfully generic. Sometimes you go visit an old game & find a hidden or quirky gem. This isn’t one of those. Immediately out of the gate it reeks of that era of below average, sloppy fps that everyone was pushing out at the time.
