Mario Díaz-Balart, a Republican from Florida, chairs the appropriations subcommittee that wrote the bill declaring Ceuta and Melilla as Moroccan. Díaz-Balart told reporters that the two cities were a weak point for Spain and accused PM Pedro Sánchez of not being loyal enough to the US.
