Over two years have passed since we began bargaining with @einsteinmededu.bsky.social. Yesterday, our elected Bargaining Committee announced a Strike Authorization Vote (SAV) beginning on October 5th. A successful SAV will give our BC the power to call a strike if necessary to win a fair contract.

On Friday, we went to Dean Tomer's office with a letter announcing our readiness to call on our Bargaining Committee to hold a Strike Authorization Vote if necessary to reach a fair contract. The letter was signed by 50 Postdocs across 14 departments.

The city’s public defender strike officially ended last week after the final striking legal aid union reached a tentative agreement over a new contract with their employer, ending a labor struggle that saw over 1,000 union members strike at various points throughout the past month.
