Nevada PERS had strong investment performance again in FY2026, 12.5% versus the actuarial assumed rate of 7.25%. Many other factors go into contribution rates for the next biennium starting 7/1/2027, but this is good news.

Sobering. At Nevada's two R1 doctoral universities, @unevadareno.bsky.social and @unlv.edu, nominal average salaries for all faculty ranks actual declined by 0.7% from 2024-25 to 2025-26. After inflation, salaries are down by over 4%. Falling behind again.
