The Time Curve Preludes, NÂș 1. The world's first postminimal piece of music, by William Duckworth. In it he used the Fibonacci series in developing proportional and rhythmic patterns with a numerical grid. Weights are placed on the low E-flat keys, allowing their strings to vibrate sympathetically.

So the wannabe dictator overturns the decision to end ICE traffic stops. Unilateral decision-making to further his racist, xenophobic agenda is merely the tip of the iceberg. Just imagine what new actions this lawless demagogue is going to take with respect to the upcoming elections?

Lindsey Graham spent the last decade of his life in public service as a US Senator, trying hard to be remembered as an enemy of the Constitution who worked to destroy American democracy and exhibited occasional signs that he knew why that was bad but kept doing it anyway. I will honor his choice.

When a politician dies we see a lot of hagiographies about them. If you mention they were a terrible person IRL, you get chastised. My feeling? If you don't want people to talk shit about you after you die, don't be shitty when you're alive.

The July update of the NMME ensemble shows a peak ensemble mean value of the Relative Oceanic Niño Index (RONI) of +2.62°C this winter. That would be a new record-strong #ElNiño... the previous strongest was +2.42°C, in the winter of 1982-83.

The reasoning here is absurd enough that it should be part of the story: "Supreme Court rules that Trump statements that Haitians 'probably have AIDS,' are 'poisoning the blood of our country,' are 'eating cats and dogs," do not constitute racial animus."

Compare Alito's description of Trump's racist statements (on the left) to Justice Kagan's anthology of Trump's racist statements (on the right). These are passages from this morning's opinions in Mullin v. Doe.

trump's now arresting people for "vandalism" of the Reflecting Pool. Yeah, sorry. Coming from a leader and a Party for whom the lie is their first and foremost raison d'ĂȘtre I can guarantee one thing: defense attorneys are going to have a field day.

Trump is accusing vandals of causing the Reflecting Pool coating to peel, but that’s not what appears to be happening here. The real issue is the administration’s reliance on no-bid contracts and what appears to be a rushed project with inadequate quality control.
