Every time I read about banning books, I think of this: Reading a book with a gay character will not make you gay any more than reading a book about Einstein will make you a genius. If you're afraid that books might change someone's thinking, you're not afraid of books — you're afraid of thinking.

This is a post I’ve been wanting to make for a while reflecting on my own experiences of cosplay burnout many times over the years. I hope it’s a helpful contribution to others who may be navigating fatigue, burnout and frustration in a hobby they have a strong connection to. #cosplay #cosplayer

Avoiding cosplay burnout
Keeping cosplay fun and sustainable
First off, cosplay burnout isn’t your fault. Many of us lose that spark, get overwhelmed fatigued. Don’t get down on yourself, but do recognize when things are starting to feel bad. Stop and reflect. Stepping back and looking at the whole picture can help highlight what parts of cosplay bring you joy and which parts may be sucking all the fun out of it for you.Surround yourself with people who uplift you. Cosplay is a really social hobby for many people and the energy of those around you does impact that experience.

we see artists repost the same art day after day, and we sit down, eat whats served, and say thank you for the food

If you're a creator who: - Takes long break periods - Creates very slowly - Has another full time job or engagement - Struggles with productivity - Is inconsistent I'm sorry to tell you... YOU'RE STILL A VALID CREATOR BECAUSE CREATING IS TIED TO PASSION, NOT PRODUCTIVITY 💜✨️
