I’m on the Dem. donor mailing list and just got this tonight. Hell. No. There should be zero tolerance for TERFs in the Democratic Party.

Average human. Mediocre euphoniumist. Mediocrerer lawyer. I help people buy and sell dirt for a living. Proud band geek and theater kid. Trans Rights are Human Rights.
We know what happens when the left of center party embraces transphobia. Look at Labour UK. Trans rights are lost there for a generation. They've got nobody left to fight for them. We cannot let that same cancer spread in the US in the Democratic Party.
I’m generally a “vote blue no matter who,” guy, but I have some red lines that I am unwilling to overlook. For example, if you throw Trans people under the bus, you will NOT get my vote. Ever.
@volts.wtf blocked me for responding to his Platner apologia.
I keep getting further radicalized by this corrupt Republican SCOTUS majority.
5-4 in favor of the plain meaning of the 14th Amendment and 140 years of unambiguous precedent. This court is out of its effing mind. Pack the court.
Yet another shit sandwich served up to Trans people by someone intoning about “everyone’s right to be treated with dignity and respect.” Ghoulish.
Time to leave Bluesky. Too many of the people I respected have gone all in on “Platner is better than Collins, so it doesn’t matter how flawed he is as a human being” This is how Trump became president. It was unconscionable then and it is unconscionable now.
San Antonio is a blue city. GOP politicians hate us almost as much as they hate Austin. They don’t represent us and should keep our team’s name out of their filthy mouths.
I don’t live in CA, but if you do, please vote for Tom Steyer.
Here is Tom Steyer personally supporting high school trans athlete AB Hernandez. I don't think I've ever seen a candidate as brave as Tom Steyer in his explicit support for trans folks. It says a lot that it took a self funded billionaire not dependent on donors to do it.
Zero tolerance is the only correct response to this whackadoo and her bigoted nonsense. She has clearly and unequivocally crossed the line from criticism of Israel into actual antisemitism. She has no place in the Democratic Party. Graham Platner should have been treated in exactly the same way.
This is a truly disgusting, antisemitic comment. I’m appalled at the level of bigotry and xenophobia that has become normalized in our politics. We cannot accept it, and we must call it out regardless of what party or individual it comes from. (1/2)
Well at least San Antonio is only allowed to use the 7’5” French basketball god alien once a series to keep things fair [presses ear bud] hold on I’m being told something

Man, I read more and more posts on social media sites about how the Dems need to reform the court, impeach people, hold people accountable, completely rebuild institutions, implement universal healthcare, etc. etc. ... and then I look around at the actual elected leaders of the party ...
This is too funny. My hat is off to you, anonymous genius.
This woman is a handpicked Trump supporter from Arkansas and she is less anti-trans than the median Atlantic columnist
TRUMP: Do you think men should play in women's sports? DOORDASH DRIVER: I really don't have an opinion on that. I'm here about no tax on tips.
Like most of our elite institutions, the U.S. Military also surrendered to Trump II. These organizations are no longer entitled to our trust, and I’m not sure they can or should ever get it back.

Maybe the upside to Trump’s destruction of American global hegemony is that we can get rid of our massive, expensive and now domesically dangerous standing army and use the money we save to help people.
I see what Kagan and Sotomayor are trying to do here. If laws against conversion therapy are subject to 1A strict scrutiny, laws against therapeutic approaches that affirm LGBTQIA identities are too. But in order for this to work, their six colleagues cannot be corrupt partisan hacks. And well…
The Supreme Court ruled against Colorado’s conversion therapy ban for minors Tuesday in an 8-1 decision, with Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan joining the conservatives.
On this Trans Day of Visibility, I celebrate the love and joy shared with friends and family who have found love and joy in their true selves. I love you. I am with you.
Democrats are failing the “what if there was a Democratic version of Trump” test.
isn't it amazing what you find digging through old News Papers
@warren.senate.gov’s endorsement of Platner is incredibly disappointing. I voted for her in the 2020 primary and was a huge fan for many years. This decision forces me to rethink that. I can’t support someone willing to overlook Platner’s Nazi-curious past. I thought we were better than this.
It is repulsive to me -- morally, aesthetically, politically -- on a scale that I genuinely don't know how to describe. It's just so deeply, deeply gross, to be so filled with weakness that you abuse other, weaker people to feel better. What a horrible kind of human, to do that, to *allow* that.
I lack the words to capture it, but ... it's just endlessly remarkable to me that so many people in our society have chosen trans kis -- TRANS KIDS, the smallest, least significant, most vulnerable demographic slice you could possibly pick -- as a repository for all their fears & insecurities.
I know I’m screaming into the void, but can you just imagine the HOWLS of outrage from these same FOX hosts if a Dem administration flack uttered this phrase in this context. They would be measurable from space.
Leavitt on reports that Russia is sharing intelligence with Iran to help them target US assets: "Whether or not this happened, frankly, it does not really matter"
Why does anyone, anywhere, at any time believe that this administration is operating in any mode other than monstrous bad faith.
