Ciara is being very brave by reporting this out. Transgender people risk their careers, their ability to participate in the political process, and social shunning when we stand up to power. Acton needs to do better.

And just when you think it can't get worse, an Ohio trans advocate that was going to be at the meeting with Amy Acton over Acton's transphobic remarks says that they are being told it will be with the political director instead. Amy Acton will not attend the meeting. Horrible.

Obama stood ON his party's 2008 consensus... civil unions was the default Dem position. Acton is breaking DOWNWARD from hers: only 2 House Dems voted for the sports ban. Zero senators. No state party endorses them. He taught the party nothing new. A win for her teaches Dems transphobia works.
