i'm glad "which route are you choosing first" is now less of a high stakes choice (in case you land on the Bad One) and more of a "which octopather are you starting with"

if FW ends up with a big weak point next to 3H i'm going to guess it'll be villains being much more stock FE villain archetypes than what 3H did (evil mole men to fill the stock FE villain quota, but then also the Everything around edelgard and rhea which gave debates on the plot such longevity)

saw it theorised that the giant unwinnable dragon fight they showed for eshmel in the direct is a corrupted theodora, so maybe any of the four lords you don't save become deadlord equivalents (hence why they 'vanished')

anyway i think if we have to have an avatar i fuck with the structure of them being a spectator for 90% of the game in a kind of metanarrative way like they're literally just Feh for most of this game

also it would kinda be funny as hell if flayn was joining up with the party that includes the death knight's ancestor and also a guy who might just straight up be young solon

going all in on "orchel is flayn" until proven otherwise - near identical voice and speech; same height and skin tone - wears the crest of noa, closely associated with the church - someone who looks like seteth has already been spotted - cat mask (loves fish)

thinking about my 3H glup shitto of choice, Metodey, a guy who showed up once, died, returned in the DLC for five seconds, returned in Hopes for 10 seconds (and died again), and at no point does anyone react to him at all. But they both put him in the gacha AND yassified him.

been looking at FW screenshots, and while i feel the turns left / world map stuff is self-explanatory (e.g. explore the world map for x turns before the next main battle), it's interesting to me that the UI highlights your *current* faction as if, perhaps, you swap between them like alm/celica...
