feeling particularly wretched about it but idk if I should start a small kofi fund for some things I need before school start. not a dire and lethal need, just things like glasses and the half of supplies I don't already have. obvs optional but I dare not take more work before I have a timetable

i lost about 2hrs of work earlier accidentally overwriting one of my save files. i think i need therapy
there's two versions of me. one who gets too excited at the first point where something feels like it's working in a sketch and sends it way before i reasonably should. the other version puts 300 hours into a sketch because What If It Looks Bad. no inbetween

my hand numbness issues have significantly improved since I've been out of retail. this is good but also terrifying bc it's another piece of confirmation that I absolutely cannot do retail anymore

I didn't want to quote lrp but another aspect of ai shitting up our gig work is now I'm having to deal with people who drafted up their graphic design samples in ai, and while they come to me to vector it they're now dead set on a concept that's lousy on every theoretical level
Seeing every small business, be it a local restaurant, a moving company, whatever, all having AI logos and AI ads, really puts into perspective just how many artists are out of jobs now. All those little sustaining jobs where someone just needed a quick thing for $50 to $200 are just gone.
