Mitch McConnell hasn’t been seen or heard from in 25 days in the hospital. Yet he still has a job, still getting paid, and getting unlimited world class healthcare. The man who voted against a living wage, against universal healthcare, and against guaranteed paid leave, is now getting all three.

#Bugsky 🐙🌿 Shared with me by a fof in SoCal - this is a gynandromorph (both male & female) valley carpenter bee (Xylocopa sonorina). Females are black, males orange, so the extreme color dimorphism really stands out. Per Doug Yanega at UC Riverside, bee gynandromorphs he’s seen are mosaic instead—

A photo looking down on an unusual bee clinging to a green shirt. The bee is a stout bee called a carpenter bee, but what’s unusual is that it is both male and female, known as a gynandromorph. In this particular species (Xylocopa sonorina), females are jet black and males are fuzzy orange. This one has an abdomen that is divided into four perfect quadrants, like a checkerboard, alternating orange and black. The thorax is mostly black but with some orange.

Timeline cleanse: a native Yellow-Faced Bumblebee at work - one of dozens busily pollinating this California lilac. Sound on to hear the buzz pollination (aka sonication, in which a bumblebee rapidly and loudly moves its flight muscles to vibrate the flower, shaking pollen free). #bloomscrolling

To those still complaining about Artemis 2: We spend 100× more on killing people for oil profits, but yeah, NASA’s the problem. 🤦🏽‍♀️ NASA: $25B Defense: $901B That’s 36 NASAs. Space programs have driven major advancements in science, medicine, and technology, real benefits for humanity.

This image of home just came down from the Artemis II crew. Taken after their translunar injection burn, there are aurorae at top right and lower left, and zodiacal light at lower right. Credit: NASA/Reid Wiseman

That's home. That's us.
