New microwave acquired and installed. Kind of disappointed in the lack of fireworks when it runs though, NGL. Also, its always fun when the new microwave's cabinet mounting holes are 3/4 of the hole diameter away from the old ones. The install process was not fun... 🫠

Today I noticed my 17-year old reading my copy of the inaugural issue of @demodisc.zone ‘s new gaming magazine, Jampack’d. He was reading it for a good half hour. #one-of-us.
It is approximately 132 billion degrees outside with the heat index. I’m not built for this Minnesota heat.

PSA: If you're in Minnesota (or any of the other areas with flat-out toxic air today), and you have an air exchanger in your house- now would be a good time to unplug it/turn it off until things improve.

Did a little better last night. Fell asleep at 9:30, woke up at 10:30, and was awake until about 2:30am, then slept until 8am. I've not been hit with jet lag quite this much before, but its getting better day-by-day. Hopefully I will be back to normal (streams!) by next week.

Yesterday we visited the Hiroshima Memorial Peace Museum and Park. It was incredibly solemn, hopeful, poignant, and haunting all at the same time. And yet those words don’t even come close to describing the experience. I don’t know if any words can.
We got the Katana situation sorted. Epic day in Japan involving moving from Tokyo to Osaka, and somehow finding a hard sided gun case that can hold 2 Katanas. I told my kids “when you’re 50, these things better be displayed with prominence in your respective homes after all this!!!”
