A single release of SqlDelight publishes 8370 files (the new limits are 1000 files) due to a compounding of Maven Central's requirements to publish javadoc and sources, signatures and checksums of everything, and the fact that the project is well modularized and uses Kotlin multiplatform.

Super sympathetic to Sonatype's situation, hosting isn't free. But announcing this with paltry limits and no public pricing options (a sales contact ain't it) is bad for everyone and going to be a major disruption to the JVM and Kotlin ecosystems. central.sonatype.org/publish/mave...
