Stories Across Canada: The Orangeville Fisher-Price Factory In 1964, Fisher-Price opened a factory in Orangeville, Ontario. Over 30 varieties of toys were made there. It closed in 1968 following an 18-week strike over unfair wages. That history is told at the Museum of Dufferin.

In 1989 she became the first songwriter in the history of Billboard magazine to have written 7 hit songs, each recorded by different artists, on the chart at the same time, including "If I Could Turn Back Time" (sung by Cher).
