This is Oliver. He is a scruffy little shih tzu that I adopted from the shelter this week, and I think he’s settling into life pretty well. (Note that he is curled up on a ratty old blanket because he rejected the pillows I put in front of the window.)

I'm not saying it was a quest hook, I'm just saying I'd feel pretty stupid if I ignored it and missed the beginning of my adventure.

I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed, empty of all enthusiasm. But also I'm mad, I'm real mad, I'm so mad I invited myself on to next week's Lore Watch to be mad with everyone else, and I prefer to keep a safe distance from Warcraft lore nerdery because it's bad for my mental wellbeing.

You are loved. Even by a stranger. Even if you cannot see, hear, or feel it. Even if you dislike me for whatever reason, you are loved by me for simply being. The mere act of even the smallest infinitesimal amount of joy is both defiance, persistence, insistence, and resistance. Spread that.

Raid leader: This time, we’re going to try something stupid.

Found the best way to deal with all the snakes in the Coiled Isle and Venomous Abyss raid: play without my glasses. As long as I don’t have to read any text or pay very close attention to cooldowns, it works great because I’m only ever fighting blobs.

Finished reading Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers and my god, what a book. The feeling you have at the end is an unadulterated hit of joy. Wish I could read it again for the first time.

I think I need a new transmog for patch 12.1. This just isn't doing it for snake fighting. You just can't fight snakes with the power of friendship.

I've been a gamer for my whole life, so I'm used to sexist bullshit in video game stories, but I'd love it if a mainstream game could occasionally surprise me and not be the no girls allowed boy's trip big dick energy.
