The children asked to make bread for snack, they used “flour, banana oil and water” “it needs to cook for a really long time” participating in real life experiences which is developing their understanding of quantity, measure and concepts of print through following a recipe.

Such a pleasure to have Jane Whinnet MBE visit. I have learnt so much from Jane over the years in her University of Edinburgh tutor & Froebel Trust role, along with the rich professional reading she has authored in her extensive work promoting the educational principles of Friedrich Froebel. 💖🌿

It was lovely to welcome Jane Whinnett MBE to Woodlands. Wonderful to enable a tour of the spaces & experiences, sharing some examples how Froebelian Principles are lived & underpin practice. 💕🍃 #EarlyChildhood #FroebelianPedagogy

What a wonderful day returning to nursery, sharing our summer stories, reconnecting with each other, we harvested some of our fruits and vegetables from our growing garden & risk assessed our campsite and remembered our offsite safety guidance 🍓✨
