It’s easy for me not to buy a digital game on principle when I haven’t jived with the series in two decades. But it makes me sad that enough people don’t share my opinion here to convey that this isn’t okay. Staring down games I DO want that only have key-card releases… I’m part of the problem.

I’ve gotten 3 or 4 spam emails about my new Chrome extension… so I guess that means it passed review and is available now? 😅 No email from Google either way, but I’m sure the spammers can’t watch for in-review extensions, right?

So the thing about AI is that it’s a probability machine. All of LLM is just a statistical regurgitation of whatever it was trained on. Things like prompts will certainly sway it more towards certain kinds of responses; but the training data determines what it’s capable or outputting.

I finally discovered some of those toxic caterpillars I’ve heard so much about here in Japan. I just got a small grazing, but definitely not recommended in general.

I have been playing this game in much the same way that I watch films like The Super Mario Bros. Movie from the 90s—not because it’s super good, but because around every corner is something hilariously janky, yet familiar. It’s such a laugh, and I’ve been thoroughly enjoying the horse hijinx.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is a fantastic modernization of an iconic open-world RPG, even if it maintains some of the jank and rough edges of the original. https://bit.ly/3Yjh8ox

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Review The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is a nostalgic adventure that recaptures the magic of the original while sanding down many of its roughest edges. The result is a fantastic open-world RPG that’s aged quite well. Not enough has been done to make it less buggy, and some choices have not been improved, but it remains a fantastic modernization of an iconic game. Score: 8

Y'know, I'd been considering grabbing this game right up until someone compared it to Outer Wilds. I really did not get on with the repetitive parts of that game. Bored me too much, made me too motion sick, and at some point I just gave up trying to be interested in it. So I dunno, maybe I'll pass.

For the last month I have done very little but think about, talk about, and play Blue Prince. It's sort of like a cross between Slay the Spire and Outer Wilds — you progress by gaining knowledge — but it's also much more than that. It is one of the most incredible games I have played in my life.

I’m sure there are folks who enjoy a bit of a joke; but for me on April 1, 2025, I feel like a whole day dedicated to making up lies for ANY reason is a bit of a bad vibe.
