So it's illegal to have a little fun now?
Authorities in Indonesia have released video footage of the arrest of a pilot from Malaysia who they said smuggled about 55 pounds of ecstasy and a package of methamphetamine after landing at the main international airport serving Jakarta last week.
The loss of a shared pop culture for the splintered landscape we have now means that not everyone will be able to hate the same commercials at the same time.
so this rocket money commercial where the guy says "oh man I have three doordash accounts"... is that supposed to be relatable?
Considering how bad Ted Lasso season 3 was, seeing it getting scathing reviews from TV critics I generally like is... not surprising.
What's the obsession with humanoid robots? Like... what situations are there where that form factor is the ideal one when you can make it shaped like anything?
I'll admit I did not anticipate Salah going to the Turkish league. Did not expect anything but the Saudi league, tbh.
As someone who uses Google Assistant basically only to turn on timers and set alarms, I look forward to seeing how Gemini fucks this process up for me.

Like birthdays in late May and most of June, it’s all about Gemini.

There's an office next door to our office where I never hear anyone in there. Except once very few months, they have a meeting in there and I think they give out awards because people applaud a lot? Anyway, that's happening today. I hope whoever won the awards enjoys it!
Oh wow: ESA announces it has a positive detection of the SpaceX Falcon 9 upper stage booster impacting the moon! I still haven't seen any images of a flash, but that's not surprising. It was faint. Here, they saw evidence of gas (vaporized material) in the impact plume by taking spectra.
Earlier today, the discarded upper stage of a Falcon 9 rocket impacted on the Moon. As part of a coordinated observing campaign, our Very Large Telescope detected spectral lines of sodium and lithium gas in the impact plume lasting for 5-10 minutes after impact. 🔭 🧪 📷 ESO/C. Schmidt et al. 1/4
anyway, this gives me an opportunity to re-up the only hillary clinton conspiracy theory that matters: that her last name is still legally "rodham" bsky.app/profile/jfru...
she definitely did not change her name upon marriage. she started using "clinton" as her last name in public while first lady of arkansas after having been told that not changing it was hurting bill's career; however, it's documented that she hadn't legally changed it as late as 1993
Has anyone else had problems downloading documents from PACER the past couple of days (I mean, more than the usual problems)?
I am such a sucker for every one of those "Drummer hears a song for the first time and has to play it" videos.
i know votes are still being counted but the more i look at this michigan senate map the more it becomes clear that it kind of looks like a mitten
I'm sure no matter the results of this Michigan Senate primary, people won't overreact.

Saw the Spider-man movie and, yes, Spider-man featured prominently in it
Good lord I wish some of you could read on this text based social media website.
Bluesky's new CEO Toni Schneider on the platform's reputation for being a liberal bubble: "Yes, we definitely want that to change. It is already changing. It certainly wasn’t designed to attract one specific group of people."
I'd describe my style of writing as "the most incredibly inefficient way possible, but I'm used to it, so it'll work."
The Padres are reportedly eating about half of Robbie Ray’s salary, horrifying onlookers
I recognise the specific context here but “Please, I need my car to meet criminals” is a very funny plea for leniency.

A school district spokeswoman in Colorado has an amusing and probably fairly accurate slide show presentation that likens reporters to cats. The Durango Herald covered it and how reporters navigate PIOs, spokespeople, comms pros, and spin doctors these days: www.durangoherald.com/articles/new...
