Als Gegner des NS-Regimes hatte Horn sich 1939 das Leben genommen. Rund 100 Menschen nahmen an der Verlegung teil.

Spoiler alert: it's better to have a good theoretical understanding and design appropriate statistical models than it is to throw zillions of superficially "okay, fine" models at a poorly specified (and often deliberately vague) target. A bit of good thinking >>> lots of poor thinking. Shocking!

Nice new paper from @louisbackstrom.bsky.social et al. showing that for eBird and Birdtrack lists there is a tendency for rare species to be over-represented onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/epdf/10....
