He/Him. Horror propagandist & football shitposter.

This is one where I want to see a remake that tosses a lot of the original—the obtuseness, trial & error frustration—but preserves 100% of the story, characters, etc because I think SIREN could be considered up there with the goats of the genre. see @eurothug4000.bsky.social vids below for more

Letting my Deck recharge, I switched consoles… and opted to try out another old survival horror classic: Siren (or Forbidden Siren, depending on the region). … 20 min later, and I suddenly understand why it’s an acquired taste, to say the fucking least.

Cover for the PS2 game Siren.

My train of thought on posting this -> so what’s the shibari WNBA team? -> their jerseys would be the rope dresses from Suspiria ‘18 -> hell, make it an Argento tribute team -> the New York Infernos -> also doubles as a classy 9/11 tribute.

For someone who’s not into breathplay, I sure do cheer for the biggest chokers. Anyway, hope Veronica and the gals win Friday.

Years ago, I did a search for books signed by arch hepcat James Ellroy because I realised the inscriptions would be nuts. Here they are. (Reheating this from Twitter as it's been 18 months or so since I've really posted/scrolled on there, I'll probably delete it soon and want these to live on.)

I’ve only watched like 2 movies from her in the past 24 hours, but Jem Garrard has that special touch to elevate a low budget Tubi Original into something… good? RL STINE’S PUMPKINHEAD: A TUBI ORIGINAL ends with a wonderfully bleak note, in the tradition of great MG horror. BUZZKILL is a blast

FINAL GIRL ssn 4, Film 5: THE RAPTOR GAMES Escaped dinosaurs, faulty electric fences, an erupting volcano, and an ever-growing pack of raptors make this feature a gloriously chaotic experience. Very intuitive to incorporate all the different rules, and ends ssn 4 on a high note. Loved it. 9/10

FINAL GIRL ssn 4, film 4: THE GREEN TERROR Turns the predator and their invisible movement into a game of deduction. The most impressive design in all of FG, where the most complex rule set feels smooth as butter within a turn. Nothing like blind firing into the jungle and hitting the alien. 8/10

ME: So I can't put anything else on the scale? ANUBIS: No. Just your heart ME: No money, no good deeds? ANUBIS: No ME: What about steam points? I've got a ton of steam points ANUBIS: The point is to be lighter than the feather ME: I was just hoping to finally do something with the steam points

Good morning from the haunted hills of the Finger Lakes region I'll be opening preorders for DRACULA CAR soon. Much like my HALLOWEEN TV SPECIAL series, this is a quick, atmospheric read perfect for gloomy evenings spent inside, read by the soft glow of decorative orange Halloween lights...

Muzzleland Press logo and text over a dark background with a batwing shape. Text reads: "It started as a joke Now it's REAL Printed in Gothic Upstate NY Limited to 100 Copies"

FINAL GIRL ssn 4, film #3: A DEMON IN THE SHADOWS The killer is a demon possessing a nun. To win you have to 1) exorcise the demon, 2) stab the nun, 3) keep the nun alive. Add in blessed and cursed die, an odd layout, and desecration spreading through the convent, and it’s bloody perfect. 10/10.

FINAL GIRL ssn 4, film 2: A ROTTEN HARVEST Evil children sacrifice adults to pagan gods while a jack o’ lantern headed killer stalks the fields. The kid cult element underwhelms, but doesn’t drag down an excellent feature. The harvest madness mechanic of short term win, long term loss rocks. 9/10

FINAL GIRL ssn 4, film 1: BAD TIMES AT BUDDYLAND Ssn 4 kicks off with a fun, breezy, and dense feature. Free of ssn 3’s excesses, everything works together damn well. Buddy & his puppets slaughtered the whole place in two turns. Lots of optional objectives to make final fight easier. Love it! 8/10
