Known for other things but mainly use this to talk about video games to be honest with you.
Side note but I got so much worse at doing this when I was a candidate, it was so easy to just become so totally absorbed in what you were doing I would be thinking about other things when talking to friends. Thankfully I chose them well enough they brutally and entirely rightly called me out on it.

You can tell when politicians are amateurs who just like to hear themselves talk. Polanski was finally doing an intervention on the environment, and was getting some coverage, and then decided to wade into a scandal without knowing the details and now has totally overshadowed himself.
Why are you commenting if you don’t know the specifics of the case!!!!!
This would be the front page of every paper and subject of every current affairs radio show if a left wing party had done it. As it stands I doubt we'll even see the gushing about Badenoch's political judgement slow down.
British politics is deeply unwell
Completely indistinguishable from George Galloway. The Greens are in quite monumental danger of fairly extreme takeover at the moment and I'm not sure their internal processes are robust enough to stop it.
A party that was actually anti-racist would be kicking this person out, not allowing them to run for the Governing Committee. There are many decent Greens who will be disgusted by this and I wish them all power fighting back against it. We know from experiance how hard that is.
Codified constitutions are unique from uncodified ones by one and only one measure, they introduce the concept of higher law, passed through a more difficult process than simple majority to introduce a more complicated repeal system that requires more than a simple majority.
One has been alienating the great institutions of Manchester, one is an annoying woman on TikTok etc etc

What if the leadership of FIFA and Eurovision swapped just to see how it went
Every year the Democratic map for the Senate looks worse than the last, every year they find another magic lamp to save them.

“I’ve taken nothing from [George Cottrell] since the 3rd of June [2024]. And he hasn’t given money to the party, or any of these things. And the idea that his donation, or in particul… his mother’s donation… this was reported to the NCA…..” - Nigel Farage 17/07/2026 youtu.be/8gLyOyi5l4g?...
Worth noting in the few polls covering party favourability that have been released since Burnham became leader, according to Survation Labour's approvals have gone from -19 one month ago to -3 after Burnham became Prime Minister. His good vibes are rubbing off on the party.
Latest leader approvals 🌹Burnham bumps up to +19, 8 higher than Keir’s high of 11. 🌳Badenoch down slightly to break even 🔶Davey drops back to -11 💚Polanski is at -24 ➡️Farage drops to another low, by far his lowest since the election at -32

Even by party bar chart standards this from the Greens about Manchester is impressive levels of bullshit.
BBC News currently covering a different kind of tweet.
Burnham keeps laying down very obvious bear traps that Reform and the Tories keep walk confidently into. His announcements on social care are inarguable and put him in line with public anger at politics as usual, and invite other parties a free chance to look good.
Why is it always live action remakes of animated films? Why can't we get an acid trip animated remake of the works of Quentin Tarantino?
Given the Green conference is the only place the party can make policy and all members are entitled to vote, I think the chance of a full on take over of the party from Polanski's left is under-examined. He doesn't seem to be in control of what he's unleashed any more.
Zack Polanski has refused to apologise to Nigel Farage for sharing a photograph of a man in a T-shirt featuring an illustration of a guillotine alongside the message: “We’re only making plans for Nigel”

Education debates are always messy as everyone is debating holding different priors unique to them and their schooling experience, that too often focuses on governance and curriculum at expense of everything else. But a few challenges and ideas I'd like to see addressed as part of rebalancing. 🧵

PM Andy Burnham came into office promising the biggest change in Britain in 40 years. But one week into his premiership, is the U.K. seeing real transformation — or just a different style of politics? 🎙️ Anne McElvoy and Sam Coates discuss on #PASAA 👇
On the third consecutive day of policy interventions designed to ease the cost of living and sure up the high street, when do you think opposition parties are going to figure out that 'this isn't enough' isn't the wisest of responses?

Britain has spent nearly two decades standing still. Getting it moving again means reforming a state that has become better at stopping things than delivering them.

To be fair I feel like being Political Director for one of the big trade unions is quite good training to be Chief Whip.
Anneliese Midgley is Chief Whip after just over two years in the Commons. I don't think anyone has done it quicker. Heath managed it in just under six years, Silkin in exactly three. Am not aware of anyone with a speedier ascent than that.
