It is our sacred queer history that the AIDs crisis "wiped out a generation of gay men", as many as 20% were HIV positive at the height of the crisis. What's ignored is that the rate for trans women suffering and dying from HIV/AIDs was 49x higher. It was actually us that got wiped out. 1/4
