They still do, at least Nintendo of America does. If you watch a UK Nintendo Direct you'll see that they just say "game" instead of "the [game] game" like in the US. Which means that they make the narrator record two versions of the same line every time he mentions the name of a Nintendo game.
Finished Dragon Hopper! Neat little platformer and probably the Virtual Boy's best game... shame it was late by three decades. Big shock right at the end of it: this game was actually the directorial debut of Ryota Kawade (known for the first three Paper Mario games)

ZERO RACERS might be the only F-Zero game I'm good at (saying this because I got first place in the first Grand Prix - five races - on Beginner after one Practice Race). Also it's never called F-Zero but the 4 cars have the same names as the classic cars so lol. No cool music tho 😭 #NintendoClassics
Chat, I think D-HOPPERS is the real deal. Nintendo's getting the final laugh with the Virtual Boy, releasing a game that I can feel will be fantastic. Quite literally an action adventure game with a plot, save files (!!), great sprite art & music. The Super GB colors fit it well #NintendoClassics
