Just got back from seeing Spider-Man Brand New Day. Objectively speaking, great film, great effects, great emotional beats, does what it set out to do and feels very comic booky. Subjectively speaking, I have ONE, MASSIVE complaint that couldn't be fixed without a complete overhaul of the film.

I locked in so hard on this yesterday; I woke up early this morning, and my drawing arm is cramping. S'what happens when I blast through something like this in a single day. I wish I could draw like that every day and get paid for it the same way. What I'm saying is: "Commission me, please!"

I am so ready to work on my latest commission today folks, you have NO idea. Normally I start my day off slow, give myself until about 9am before I get to work, but it's not even 7am and I'm already itching to get to it! This one is just speaking to me; clear characters with room for creativity 🤤

Attended a high school production of Waiting for Godot this evening, first time I'd seen it ever. Honestly, I don't think I've ever seen a more accurate depiction of my last five brain cells. That shit got to me by the end; what even is my life anymore?

I ADHD'd all day, finally started to lock in on some scriptwriting this evening, and then Sparrow brought a live rat in through the window. I have dealt with that situation, but now my blood pressure is through the roof and I've lost control of my brain again.

I got so excited about potentially running TAGDQ at the game store, I only just realized that I'm running my next Curse of Strahd session on Saturday and have done ZERO prep for it. Granted, it doesn't NEED much prep, but I should probably brush up on the village of Barovia, at least. #dnd #ttrpg

Currently on track to get my commission work done after lunch, leaving the rest of the afternoon to work on this NPC spreadsheet. I don't think I ever imagined that I would be excited about plotting out a SPREADSHEET, of all things... The power of tabletop gaming, folks. #dnd #ttrpg

Sparrow is staring me down right now trying to demand more food, as though he hasn't had a full bowl of it in the last two hours. Unfortunately, I cannot acquiesce to his demands, because there's no more cat food in the house, and he'll just have to wait until the shops open.

When I say I was reading through it, I mean I was jumping back and forth through both hefty volumes all day, plus other TAGDQ modules, trying to tie all the NPCs and lore together in my head, and not writing a single thing down. I'll make a spreadsheet after commission work tomorrow #dnd #ttrpg

I'm reading through the Goodman Games remake of The Temple of Elemental Evil, and while I can see that there is a still a mountain of prep required, it actually looks manageable, despite its reputation. I think I can handle it; just need to scope out my potential player base first. #dnd #ttrpg

It would take a lot of work, but given that there are lot of new and old players that frequent the FLGS, there's one campaign I've wanted to run for a while. It's just five letters long. T. A. G. D. Q!

So no chance of monetary compensation for the AL, BUT if I start my own campaign and charge for attendance, I can use the cash to cover hiring the table and keep the rest. Not exactly a six-figure income, but it would probably keep my car's gas tank filled at least. Now which campaign to run... ?

There's a meetup at my FLGS tomorrow discussing the next round of Adventurer's League, and now that I'm FINALLY on the correct group chat, I may start running games for it. My one condition is that I get *some* form of compensation for it, because I am in serious need of income.
