New #FinnDiane publication. Chronic low-grade inflammation adds to the coronary artery disease risk from metabolic syndrome in type 1 diabetes, but only in those WITHOUT DKD. Managing metabolic risk factors early and screening for chronic low-grade inflammation offer improved risk stratification.

Our new #article on depression and adherence to cardioprotective medication in people with T1D is now published. Those prescribed cardioprotective therapy who had diagnosed depression or antidepressant purchases had higher odds of having poor rather than good adherence to cardioprotective therapy.
