We (Vangelis, Kostas, Vaso and Loz) finished up at a great little Kneipe in Schwabing yesterday. Called the Pils Doktor this would be right up European Bar guides Straße. Down to earth, super friendly, small and cosy place. Btw if you order a schnaps a little model train brings it to your table 😄

Another day another Bayern brewery (yesterday). This time it's in München in the upmarket Schwarbing district. Beers were all decent enough. It's a bit too fancy for me, e.g. we could only have the table for two hours & then it was reserved for someone else. Food good, but again a tad pricey.

If one is struggling to find there way back to the Fasangarten S-Bahn station, München there's a very subtle landmark of what appears to be a mobile phone mast sticking out of the roof of this residential property 😄 and yes I promise you that actually is through the roof and not simply behind.

Another day another Bayern brewery. Our first ever visit to Hoenthanner brewery & tap opposite , just north of Landshut, they're letting us stay overnight in Frank in the carpark. I think that some of you will have the Festbier in your Lidl boxes, I'm drinking this now on draft. Cheers all 🍻

A year ago yesterday I met up with the legend that is Keef @tigger2017.bsky.social in Stockport and btw not forgetting Carl, cheers both 🍻 and there's my dad getting in on the act 😀.

I'm a little sad that the Zoigl chapter of my Bavarian beer adventure has come to an end. But it's okay because I'm currently in Regensburg, where the local Export Dunkel is going down nicely.

Second beer tonight in Frank at Plattling, bloody Nora 🤪 I honestly didn't realise this was 11.5%, okay that's the last one for tonight, good night all 😄.

Caught the train up from Birmingham to the Red Lion in Erdington, mainly to see the magnificent ceramic bar counter. It was made for the pub by Craven Dunnill in 1899 and it's one of only 14 left in the UK. I think I have a photo of most of them now so maybe it's time to get them together in a post!

More Zoigl-ing today in the Oberpfalz. I'm not sure how it has taken 10 years of living in Germany for me to visit this region.

Very much enjoyed my first cask conditioned real ale in Seoul, South Korea. Joe, the brewery owner at Ashtree brewery, used to work at Redemption and Partizan and we spent time in Belgium together about a decade ago. Was in tip top condition, obvs!

I started with a Lübzer Urkraft it was fine but soon now onto something a bit better. Cheers all 🍻

Large order arrived in 24 hrs from Beyond Beer webshop Hamburg. About half are destined to travel with us to Kykao brewery, Patras, Greece to share with Kostas & colleagues next month. Also stocked up Jaipur & + 4-5 other Thornbridge & a couple more for Loz's advent calendar. Cheers all 🍻

Decided to have a cheeky little beer at the top of the garden. After tomorrow it looks like the weather will drop to single digits during the day and rain forecast Thurs-Sun so making the most of what might be the last of this sunny ☀️😎 warm'ish' weather. Cheers all 🍻

We had a busy day pressing apples yesterday, but it was a lovely day, we smoked some ribs as well. I think that we got about 15 litres of juice.

Outstanding sunny/partly misty canal scenes this morning. This was near Moerkerke on the Leopoldkanaal, about 11km outside Brugge.
