Tracking repression across the country— Raids, arrests, door knocks, and detentions across the country could be connected. To protect our movements, we must be aware of the governments' efforts to stop us. THREAD. SHARE WIDELY.

Repression is not something that comes "after" the movement. It is not a custodial task. Building police centers and concentration camps, rounding up workers on a farm, are also all acts of repression that we resist. They fight us, we fight them back. It's as simple as that.

We are honored to share part of our name with this piece of the greater history of resistance and hope to continue to uplift the voices of those held captive by the state as best we can.

Fire Ant Movement Defense was created as a response to the repression here in Atlanta against the Stop Cop City movement, but we have always held at our center that we are part of a long and powerful lineage of people fighting for anarchist ideals and facing the full brunt of the state because of it

They are an inspiration, and we hope you'll consider writing to them today or this week as part of this day. Their publication can be found at the link in our bio and more long term anarchist prisoners to write to can be found at the JUNE 11th no blogs site.

The publication pre-dates our organization and has been putting out regular, radical, cool as fuck writing and analysis through collaboration across the prison walls.

Today, in honor of June 11th, the day of solidarity with long term anarchist prisoners, Fire Ant Movement Defense is highlighting the writers and artists responsible for the Fire Ant Journal.

15 months ago, a brave individual stopped work on a Brassfield & Gorrie (Cop City general contractor) worksite by locking them self to a piece of machinery. On June 16, show out to their court date to make sure they (and the state!) know how much support they have!

Join Fire Ant Movement Defense this Wednesday at 9:30 am to support 8 of the Stop Cop City Defendants in getting their restrictive bond conditions changed. Coffee provided! If you don't see people on Central Ave, check MLK Jr and Pryor!

🚨 June 11 Movement Defense Day of Action 🚨 On June 11, consider learning about Marius Mason and other long-term anarchist political prisoners, hosting a public event, dropping a banner, throwing a fundraiser, and taking action to defend our movements for total liberation.

🚨COURT SUPPORT RALLY🚨 On Wednesday May 28 at 1 pm, there will be a discovery hearing for the RICO61. Join us for a rally outside the court house to let the state, the judge, and the 61 RICO co defendants know that we are watching and won't stop until ALL the charges are dropped.
