Just had a thought that scars on an #expie from #casualtiesunknown can have a sort of kintsugi artistic effect. The way their burnt-orange flesh contrasts with their black fur. They are mended in gold.

As per usual in my life, when I get a spark for something creative, a depression or illness happens. I received both. I'm on the mend and shall be giving art the attention it deserves in the near future. I've been saving some good stuff from talented artists to share.

I kinda wish Blsky had a feature where you can queue up posts, because I don't want to flood people's feeds. But I should probably get over that fear of doing too much because people seem to like it, and it only seems to be holding me back. I suppose I shouldn't act on limiting, imagined concerns.

Oops, I meant to make the comment a reblog. Quick fix. Rare side profile of an expie, and I'd say a good example of one! I enjoy the dynamic pose and think it does a great job in showing off the tension they must be feeling. Props to Grimshaw! I'll have to remember to read this as well.

If there's one genre of art that I enjoy the most, it's couples and/or friends being fun with each other. Little moments that hold great meaning by how comfortable they are together. I love the character designs, the seemingly effortless way the body types are depicted. Clothing on point as well!

I feel like some artists express their love language through lineart. Tepkos profile has many examples that make me feel like there's love in every line. As if they're reluctant to stop, but do so to avoid harming the life they brought to canvas. There's a flow that I'm having difficulty describing.

There is no commitee, governing body, or universal power that determines wether your work is enough. The expectations are largely internal. A reflection more of insecurities than defined quality. The drive to improve can be a good thing, but don't let invisible expectations weigh down your soul.

This might be my favorite of Clavis' drawings (that I've seen so far). I don't know who Dem is yet, but I'm sure they'd be happy to see the work that went into this character. You should seriously do more clothing in the future because this poncho works well. Literally matches the Milky's eyes.

I've said it before and I'll say it again; some people should half-ass their art more often! If it's not a commission and you're just drawing for fun, actually have fun with it! If your standards mean that you're too anxious to draw, lower them! Low-effort scribble is better than no art at all.

You're likely to see a burst of #casualtiesuknown reposts from me first. I've been saving them up! There's something about that game which has struck a creative nerve in many an artist. Some even felt inspired to take up the pen for the first time thanks to this game. Absolute gems.
