Bat Conservation International 🦇@batcon.org · 2mo agoWhy are bats such important pollinators? ↗️ Bats can fly farther than insects typically can- spreading gene diversity to many plants. 👅 Some species of bats have incredibly long tongues for slurping hard-to-reach nectar! 🦇 Their size allows them to carry more pollen than other pollinators.
My husband @tdillig.bsky.social and I built ourselves a stream-pond in our garden. It was a lot of work and a strenuous workout. Our reward is the ability to grow and admire beautiful water flowers at our urban home.
