Starting a new adhd med and the manufacturers don't make a dose low enough for where my doc wants to start. Since it's stuff-in-capsule based, I am getting to pull out the milligram scale, crack open pills and remake pills at a quarter dose. Lol.

Lemme tell you having both alexithymia and emotion color synthesisia that can project is...an experience. Cant easily tell anyone how I feel but I can literally see emotions. How does this impact me practically? Gonna sketch more. And I'm a yote. We've only one braincell so not gonna overthink :3

Someday, I'll leg day so hard at the gym I'll have to crawl up the stairs at home on all fours like some kinda yote or something. Today is not one of those days. I must drive and do other hooman things after that require walking x3.

Peak self care: requesting and getting approved HR disability accommodations for your last month of work at old company to make it sustainable and stess free when you already have a new better job lined up anyways coming up.

One challenge of adult audhd diagnosis stemming from burnout can be having no time to make lifestyle changes before you hit that wall. It makes you have to relearn yourself while you also can't do stuff you used to, and life still moves on while you wonder what just happened.

Aannddd new job offer officially signed. I'm super excited to be going to a much less toxic/burnouty company. Now to relax for the next month before it starts and enjoy some summer weather.

Me when I first started going back to the gym earlier this year. Why does everything hurt two days later am I dying? Oh wait no I'm just recovering.

Another 4 weeks of FMLA coming to an end due to combo work burnout (again) and the severe side effects or ritilin (both the physical and mental). Last few months thanks to that have been a blur but I'm recovering and some of the lifestyle changes like gym I did to try and adjust are showing results.

Audhd burnout is no fun. Second time in a year it's happened. Though this time I caught it sooner so should rebound in a few weeks rather than a few months. T-minus very soon before I quit job that's been a major factor in that. Got on site interview pending scheduling too at another company :3

Im pretty sure at this point after talking to therapist about it for a year and now psych doc as sanity check I've got emotion color synthesisia...getting far enough in life and mental health recently I think is making it so I can feel my emotions deeply enough for the first time to experience that.

Me: Why does it hurt to bend over and why does my chest hurt? Did I injure myself or am I just getting old? Am I dying? Me a bit later: oh wait I just deth destroyed those muscle groups at the gym the other day....

I'm about to start a few weeks of short term disability leave to get a better handle on adhd and anxiety. Lemme tell you getting a glimpse of like the wonders of adhd meds for like a month, then running out for a few weeks rreealllyy shows how stark a difference it is. And I can't unsee/unfeel it.

When I came out as gay to my parents, their reaction was love the sinner hate the sin, putting immediate conditions on visits, disgust, dismissal, and trying to explain it away. Luckily I was already independent so it just solidified the need for me to focus on my chosen family and community :3

My own food craven mind surprises me sometimes. Body: wants snack Brain: what if bowl of cereal but crumbled up leftover tator tots as rice crispies and leftover au jus. So tator tot meat cereal Me: proceeds to eat bowl of tator tots with some au jus and conclude this could have been a wet burrito.

With the improvements I've noticed since starting adhd meds, even just still doing trial doses to find the right one, I both a) really wish I had the support as a kid to figure this out then and b) hope child healthcare continues to improve so more and more folks get support sooner and sooner.
