i enjoyed reading Scheele's adaptation of Orlando. the panelling is fantastic—i like how often my eye is led in circles and meandering swoops across pages—and the coloring is stunning (i also quite like the bird studies throughout). but, i think it really needed to be two to three times as long.

oh jesus, my boss's boss's boss thinks the hours and hours of work i saved a co-worker yesterday because i knew some things about our DB and am moderately proficient in SQL was actually something to do with AI.

not to detract from the reactionary stupidity of CSP's owners and its impact on the artists who rely on it, but i feel i made a good decision in going with krita for digital art—partly because it *doesn't* have 3D maquettes, which i felt could very easily negatively impact my technical learning.

there's no such thing as "AI art", just genAI images there's no such thing as "AI music", just genAI audio there's no such thing as "AI film", just genAI video there's no such thing as "AI writing", just genAI text there's no such thing as "AI acting/actors", just a piece of software

we should move away from helping establish the term “AI art” and passively granting legitimacy call it “AI graphics”, “AI imagery“, but the word “art” should not enter the vocabulary when describing slop likewise, ”AI text” is preferable to letting it have any association with the writing process
