I'm not a nerd.@flintlock.bsky.social · last wk.It's a real shame Monster Horrorshow is in IP hell from what I know because it's JH Brennan being adorably weird as always, but it's actually properly focused so it's much more playable than Man, Myth and Magic or *shudder* Time Ship.
One thing I do find is that both OSRers and storygamers have a tendency to see the old school RPG scene as D&D and maybe its closest rivals (Runequest, Traveler, C&S) when it's actually a lot broader than that, even moreso when you hit the 80s.

Despite the much higher visibility of the free speech grift from right wing culture warriors, it's objectively the case that in the 80s and 90s nobody seriously considered proscribing even the most spiky of political groups (Class War, Red Action, Movement Against the Monarchy etc.)

I have a remarkably important meeting on Sunday and I'm kinda nervous. Can't go into detail but we're talking "not just personally important but could change the local landscape for LRP" levels of importance.
Creators owe customers nothing but a work and perhaps an accurate description of it. Customers owe creators nothing but money in exchange for that work. The sooner we can all accept that the happier we'll all be. (The RPG scene is weird parasociality all the way down).

I find it very funny that the only people on here who argue that Starmer should have stayed on the full term are a) the Starmtroopers who are convinced he'd have turned around and b) people who despise Starmer and think he should have faced the consequences and been humiliated more.

One of the strangest musical decisions of the 90s was for Mike Flowers Pops to put his own original songs on the album. Yeah Mike, people were really hoping to hear that from the comedy easy listening Wonderwall guy.

For all that was bad about the 80s and 90s, at least the class discourse made some kind of fucking sense. (Even with the endless "are teachers working class?" arguments on the left.
