In a game where the story unfolds entirely through cards it is important to know at a glance what each card type means. Orange cards are the most common of the types and these refer to clues to help you piece together this case.

If you are ever unsure which actions to use with clue cards, check the corner of the card. The icons there relate to investigate, talk and explore. 🔍💬🗺️ Some cards have more than one icon, so remember to use both action cards. You don't know what you could learn. 🤔

Completely absorbed by the excellent demo of Hillthorn, a spooky detective adventure by @foolmoongames.bsky.social I’m particularly impressed by how sleek its designed and how the static presentation (it’s “just cards” basically) manages to evoke a vivid picture of the world and its inhabitants.

Go play the Hillthorn demo! It's a spooky detective game with a really cool and flexible card-based interface, that does a fantastic job of telling a story almost entirely through the names and images of the cards! Like the best parts of Cultist Simulator, and @fluttermind.bsky.social 's "Horns".

In Hillthorn you can interact with elements of your environment through the cards. You can turn on or off the radio in your office. This might be useful to remember.
