I dont get the ellipses are "for old people" thing because... well its normal ass punctuation and the easiest way to break up text for effect in a post format like this. its no different from saying the em/en dash is an AI thing - That says more about you!
I dont think "one big open world where everything is connected" is inherently superior than "smaller seperated worlds connected through loading screens" - its conceptually similar but it makes areas feel... distinct. Atomfall, dying light, borderlands. None of these are improved by open worlds
Event Horizon is a movie that people keep gaslighting me on. People in love with what it could be, but what is is a wannabe psychological space hellraiser that is executed with the shittiest, unintentionally funny ott action framing so it resembles 2005 doom more than sunshine
Once again i must say "objective" being something you *can't' object to is bizzare and confusing
“For generations as a nation we've drained wetlands, straightened rivers and moved water off the land as quickly as possible. Here, we've reversed that approach and the results are remarkable." Aerial images of Holnicote in Somerset reveal the benefits of rewilding: bit.ly/4g9Linx
Rewilded land remains green amid drought-stricken English countryside, images show
National Trust’s Holnicote estate says restored wetlands and rivers offer proof of resilience to drought, wildfires and flooding

Very seriously just thinking of daffodils can make me so furious - i hate those flowers with every fibre of my being. A very mormon plant.
Gerard way is two years older than my father what the hell
My blood borg patch went missing (alongside a rose patch and my runecairn patch) and in the move i thought id find it but its only confirmed my worst fear - my roomates shitty friend most likely stole it* 😭😭😭 *who stayed over on our sofa without our knowledge as my patches were out on the c. table
Heat is a movie that turns people into a zombie that just rrpeats "watch heat" to other people until they watch heat and watch the movie and become the zombie that says "watch heat"
I still dont understand how a man can make the dullest, creatively bankrupt and mean spirited batman trilogy of all time but he only gets criticised (by popular audiences) for a really cool time-bending spy thriller and casting people of colour into a myth.
If i skeet something Anti OSR 33.333...% of my moots will be happy. If i skeet something Pro OSR 33.333...% of my moots will be happy. If I skeet something centrist about the OSR 33.333...% of my moots will be happy.
"You dont want to be a LARPer" "But i am a LARPer?" "No like... a poser" "No i actually LARP!"
1st read of the traitor baru cormorant: [tears] To gaze upon Empire, to be hollowed out as a woman it colonized, to grasp how its instruments could do this so you may turn its knowledge upon itself, only to become its instrument ... 5th read of traitor: what if tain hu dressed baru in a bunny suit
Anybody else interested in the quest of the fair unknown? Seems like a under-rated arthurian legend of french origin - im interested in writing a prose adaptation (i wish to do the green knight but that is so overdone despite my love for it, so this is better, and is of gawains son)
TTRPG and 70s Fantasy stuff in a witch musuem ! Cool to see tunnels and trolls here
The thing is... ttrpg people need to engage with the zine format outside of games otherwise the benifits of the zine are lost in comparison to books... no im not trying to excuse my spending on occult zines
we used to be a nation of forcefemme.... now we are a nation of forcethemme.... we need to return to ourr culture!!!!!
I get the frustration, and i prefer games with cooler background mechanics (i love orbital blues) but also is this not normal for games in general? Your mmorpg OC can have "lore" that doesnt come up, i feel thats just part of roleplaying - and that "background" certainly can come up at the table
Trying to work through some thoughts. I keep seeing amazing artwork/descriptions of D&D characters that have extensive background and vibrant personalities, and then you look at D&D and have to worry about Dex scores and how many ways your PC can murder other people. It's like two separate worlds.
Guy who never shuts up about weird fiction but is increasingly sick of the word “weird” and wishes we would just use “eerie” instead
Ill get it on with the sword and sorcery badass warrior heroine because shes immoral by nature, thats fun, but the knight woman is an agent of the state; i cant get behind that unless its rob her of her agency and status as a knight.
Im a big fan of a lot of faery classics but two i camt stand, i assume because their focus on boyhood, is Peter Pan and Pinocchio - but lies of p, one of my favourite games, redeemed the latter (and secondly del toro) in my eyes, so what will dp that for peter pan?
And 32% of people receiving Universal Credit were in work as of December 2025. Companies profiting from poverty pay need to be challenged to justify that.
🚨 ICYMI: 75% of people using food banks are receiving Universal Credit. Payments aren’t enough to cover life’s essentials. A system that is meant to protect us simply isn't cutting it.
Good to know the rancid vibe is not just from the fans but baked into the writing... this certainly makes sense how this is popular with the project hail mary novel liking crowd... they physically dont know what good prose is.
Feeling like a genius for looking up Dungeon Crawler Carl images so I can learn I will hate hate hate every moment of this and not waste any money checking it out lol oh so it's just Ready Player One but if Ernest Cline listened to less dadrock and played Portal and Borderlands gotcha
Its not we think machines can not have subjective experience but that we know they cant. As it exists materially no machine can. You enter the realm of hypethetical with the "in principal" and are mad you are met w grand hypethetical back! You created the grounds for dualism to enter the discussion
A) many people think machines in principle cannot have subjective experience. This seems to me to require some sort of dualism, which I don't find convincing. It requires you to posit a new universe of physics, and often the claim boils down to gut feelings, aka "dualist seemings."
