All phenomena are fleeting. He/him. For those who don't know me from other social media sites: Waffles (Waf) is the name of our dog, not the name of my husband. [Update: Waf was. Marlowe is now our dog's name, not my husband's. Waf is now a name for love.]

I agree with this but will admit my hard line is Tom Cruise. I do watch the films/tv shows of most other Scientologists--not like, seek-out sort of watch, but I will watch. But Tom Cruise can go fuck himself off a cliff.

1. I will never understand how people can stop watching someone’s movies or TV shows, or stop listening to their music, if they so much as hit the like button on a conservative’s post, but will keep supporting Scientologists.

I regret to say that the more I'm told 'do not look!' the more I want to see. Fortunately it isn't in my feed and I'm not seeking it out, but you people warning me are making me morbidly curious.

Don't go looking for the video footage. It's awful. If you do see it, play Tetris for about 20 minutes or so. Science: www.sciencealert.com/advice-to-pl... Play Tetris online in your browser: play.tetris.com

Not the best answer, but AN answer: Movie theaters. Do you know that just 20 years ago, you'd have to show up, wait in line sometimes for hours to buy a physical ticket, then stand in another line, AND THEN DO A LANDRUSH to get a good seat? Now you mostly buy assigned seats online when you want.

You know what’s gotten better in the last 40 years? Me. There’s also more of me, which is probably not ideal, but you take the good with the bad.

air travel is one of those experiences that has gotten monotonically worse over my entire lifetime
question though: has *anything* in the last 40+ years genuinely gotten
*better*?
like, there's *more* stuff, sure, but is any of it *better*?
