Photo of the Wizard of Whirlaw stone head sculpture I took this morning on the moors above #Todmorden. It's taken with my old customized infra-red camera, hence the slightly other-worldly feel (it can only see infra-red light wavelengths rather than colours, so sunlit vegetation is very bright).
Really interesting - Sheffield has a load of wild fig trees along the river due to a unique historical combination of locals liking fig biscuits -> occasional sewer overflows -> industry using river water to cool machinery means the river water was warm enough to germinate undigested fig seeds 😲

There's a heartbreaking amount of emboldened hate in Britain at the moment, and this is beautifully put about why all the flags going up are so problematic - everyone knows they're a proxy for racists airing their views rather than actually loving their country.
