Nygren starts and is the lone scorer in Celtic’s 1-0 win over Dundee. Høgh did okay in his first appearance—0.88 xG and most touches in the opposition box but 3 out of 4 shots were off target. I think he’ll adapt quickly once he builds those partnerships with Nygren, Tierney, etc.
Maswanhise started on the bench for Motherwell, about to be subbed in with Hibs pressing for a second.
St. Johnstone’s first matchday back in the Prem was a wild one !! (Sadly at Killie’s expense)
What an insane end to this Aberdeen-Hearts match. Controversial goal given to put Aberdeen level, and now a red card to Findlay in the box (which I think was arguably too…) and Nesbet steps up to the spot to take the lead. All in added time. The Prem is back.

Matthias Jaissle seems ambitious, confident & good at developing young players. He’s also a winner. Slightly concerned about optics of hiring manager from Saudi league, but he won big there & was recruited by Red Bull network at a young age, winning titles there too. Risky but encouraging. #NUFC

Still no marquee signing in this window. Personally I’d be more surprised if he was sacked versus him asking to leave (if, let’s say, the FA or another club come calling…)
JFC…I know we’re not fielding a GW1 starting XI but I get the feeling it’s gonna be another long season…
