Right now, between other bouts of irresponsibility, I've been messing with OFFBEAT. It's turned a music sequencer into a game, insofar as "make some music that meets these objectives, if you feel like it," is a game. I guess it's more educational.

A few friendly suggestions to people sending in clips: 1: Drink only water, if you've had coffee or anything thicker, you get saliva snaps in your audio which are really hard to work around.

Lurking under covers last night, summarizing the SNOTEL system to the missus. Specifically how these devices in remote mountaintops could communicate by detecting a reflected RF signal (because a meteor was burning up in the atmosphere) and, thereby, transmitting its own signal to base station.

And separately, in my Sunday sessions on Twitch, we're one week or so away from starting on a novel that's been my nemesis, a book that I've tried to read three times and never finished: IRENE IDDESLEIGH. Fourth time's a charm? Can I finally finish it?

I do have to say, thanks in part to a conversation with Gleech, I did work out a little side-project I'm pleased with and mean to get it rolling in maybe a month. Mostly when the missus and I can both be in this room without noisy fans.
