Solidarity with doctors on strike today. They’re not asking for a pay rise. They’re asking for pay restoration after a decade of cuts. The government’s response? Take away vital training jobs, harming us all. Hardworking NHS staff will always have my full support!

I've managed until 19Jan without moaning. Lift in our (campus) building has been broken since mid-Dec (fixed last wk) [arthritis in feet & knees v painful), then heating broke (now fixed). So finally just after a month I've come into campus. Photocopier is broken, and so is the laminator! ARGGHH.

Just read my work emails. Someone has sent their personal promotion details and Cv to the whole School (twice). Oops ! As someone with ADHD I am paranoid about checking emails before I send them. Right person, too wordy, bla bla.

Been to work with our lovely group of adults with learning disabilities at Southampton mencap this morning. One of the groups was out washing cars in the car park so I got my car washed as well (which it badly needed😆). I gave them a tenner to get themselves a treat for after lunch 😎

Ireland has had "sELf iD" for 10 years now and not one single issue that the media, government and anti-trans movement predicted has come to pass. Not one. If it works in Ireland why would it not work here? No one who opposes it can give a good answer, because the real answer is transphobia

Ten years ago, on this day 15 July, the Irish Oireachtas passed the Gender Recognition Act 2015 (An tAcht um Inscne a Aithint, 2015). It was a piece of legislation that allowed me to live my life authentically & I'm forever grateful. Despite what others may have you believe, the sky did not fall in.

I think the heat has mucked up my IT today. My internet went down at home for the second day running, then I couldn't MFA with my new phone handset - finally sorted it with our fab IT team. I'm not amused with EE (I replaced by BTinternet with EE). It is not as reliable as it used to be either grrr
