A 4K restoration of Amando de Ossorio's 3rd Blind Dead film "Ghost Galleon" is coming out. It's an old favorite I happened to watch last night on an English-friendly Spanish import Blu-ray. I'm tempted to upgrade, but I don't think the toy boat would be served well by 4K.
Congressional Republicans whenever called upon to defend their branch's Article I powers:
You're concerned about sound and starfighters dogfighting in the vacuum of space. I'm concerned about giant herbivores based on Earth megafauna consuming enough calories to survive on a desert planet with no grasslands on which to graze. We are not the same.
Watched 2 DC Showcase Animated Shorts: Kamadi & Blue Beetle. Kamadi is played straight. Blue Beetle (which co-stars Question, Capt. Atom, & Nightshade) is played for laughs. Kamandi gives Kirby a "created by" credit. Blue Beetle doesn't credit Steve Ditko. The disrespect is appalling.
Well, I've seen the trailer for Andy Serkis' adaptation of George Orwell's "Animal Farm," and I imagine the pitch meeting went something like this.
All the crap on the internet, yet I can't find that series of Nike commercials that counted down the top five football players of all time and always ended with Al Del Greco at No. 1 except for the time he was No. 2 and the announcer broke down crying and couldn't finish.
Things that scream 1970s: "Special guest star Sandy Duncan." Yeah, I'm watching the "Return of Bigfoot" crossover of The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman.
The the bio of our last good president, "A Man of Iron: The Turbulent Life and Improbable Presidency of Grover Cleveland," is on sale today for $1.99 on Kindle. You're welcome.
Leonard Nimoy presents more of tonight's Halloween viewing....
My last free night before Halloween, so I'm getting in the old favorites. (I've already rewatched The Great Pumpkin twice.)
> GO UP LADDER I do not understand 'go up' > USE LADDER Use ladder with what? > CLIMB LADDER You climb the ladder > LOOK You are in a museum gallery. It is dark, but a display case glints in the dim light. > EXAMINE DISPLAY CASE It's full of jewels! > PICK UP JEWELS You take the jewels.

Terry Gilliam doing the titles for the Vincent Price vehicle "Cry of the Banshee" is the team-up we didn't know we needed.
The guy who thinks masked government thugs should snatch peaceful people off the street to be tortured in a foreign gulag would like to say a few words about warped, violent ideologies.
He removed most of the content I like. But Tubi appreciates my viewership.
David Zaslav thinks consumers will pay even more for HBO Max because they're in love with the content.
Exclusive: Jeffrey Epstein’s estate has given Congress a copy of the 2003 birthday book, including the letter with Trump’s signature that he has said doesn’t exist.

Thinking of upgrading my DVD copy of Hitchcock's "Frenzy," but I'm not sure I want to see the food the chief inspector's wife cooks in high definition.
I am seriously confused. Who is The Question in DC Comics continuity right now? Is it Renee Montoya (who was perfectly fine as a cop) or Vic Sage? And is Vic dead or not? Simply ridiculous DC never capitalized on Vic's Justice League Unlimited popularity spike.
The revelation that Buford Pusser (of Walking Tall fame) was likely his wife's real killer is the least surprising plot twist ever. www.wtvy.com/2025/08/30/l...
Late sheriff who inspired Hollywood movies implicated in wife’s murder nearly 6 decades later, officials say
Almost 60 years after the death of a Tennessee sheriff’s wife, authorities said new details are coming out that implicate her husband.

Do it anyway and clog up the courts. You answer to a higher authority.
Trump administration moves to bar states and even private (!) nonprofits, such as Red Cross, from helping undocumented immigrants after disasters. Evil. s2.washingtonpost.com/4467742/68af...
1) This dangerous lunatic is spouting Naomi Wolf-like woo-woo bullshit. 2) A president in his right mind would fire this dangerous lunatic. 3) A non-chickenshit Congress would impeach and remove this dangerous lunatic. 4) Instead, this dangerous lunatic is attacking the CDC. Right now. Tonight.
WTF RFK Jr.: "I know what a healthy child is supposed to look like. I’m looking at kids as I walk through the airports today...and I see these kids that are just overburdened with mitochondrial challenges...and I know that’s not how our children are supposed to look." www.c-span.org/program/publ...
RFK Jr. is the most dangerous person in the Trump administration, and that is some stiff competition.
BREAKING: Attorneys for Susan Monarez, the ousted CDC director, say she was targeted for "protecting the public over serving a political agenda."
Calling this man an insane person is an insult to the insane
wtf is this nonsense? He thinks he can understand kid’s “mitochondrial challenges” just by looking at them? This is an insane person.
As you watch the extraordinary spectacle of Trump's government attempting to deport Kilmar Abrego Garcia to Uganda, let's not lose sight of just how lawless and indefensible Trump's misconduct has been all throughout. Here's a thread recapping all of it. 1/
