Americans, continue to interpret cooperation as weakness, global applause as insult, lesson not learned.

Chad Loder@chadloder.dev · 4d agoThe diarrhea lettuce company, Taylor Farms, uses slave labor contracted from the Arizona Dept. of Corrections. The backbreaking labor is often performed by imprisoned Mexican nationals who would be otherwise ineligble to work in the US. They are paid $1.50 an hour.
If useful, here's my attempt to process my feelings about how I feel sadly kinda — or rather very — sick from all this AI fascist nonsense as an academic. 😶🌫️ I'd be pleased if even one person finds something useful because there's something to be said for processing this all together, so, um, enjoy?

This could not miss the point by a wider margin. Working class and vulnerable kids will never have the life they should have until we stop acting as if it's OK that poverty predominates in a rich country. No child should grow up in poverty. Covid school closures aren't the problem.

The Hard Problem is not a mystery of nature - it is a limitation of the human field of language. It is Descartes error: Believing there is a "brain" (matter) and a "mind" (spirit) that need to be reconciled.
