One week late in #watchmachina, Scanbo! Throwback to episode 31 and @samriegel.bsky.social's epic Scanlan rampage made of luck, quick thinking, and absolute chaos :D #criticalrole #voxmachina (do NOT repost anywhere)

a digital drawing made to look like a comic book cover, #31 in the "Vox Machina" series. It depicts a scene from episode 31 ("Gunpowder Plot") of the Vox Machina Campaign of Critical Role. Gnome bard Scanlan shorthalt is standing on the rooftop of a burning manor in the rain, grinning, with his right fist raised. His hand mirrors the giant purple Bigby's Hand floating directly above him. A crossbow bolt is sticking out from his shoulder and from his thigh. He's having the time of his life and is going to make it everyone's problem.

Just came up on the Sun Tree reveal in #watchmachina! This scene, ooof. Just... 🤯😱 (do NOT repost. Anywhere. Found my last drawing on Facebook without any credit or source. They took it down since but just. Please don't.) #voxmachina #criticalrole

A drawing made on paper with mostly black markers and a red one. It depicts an iconic and traumatising scene in the first campaign of Critical Role, Vox Machina. Trigger warning for mentions of hanging, a death of a child, and death of an animal. The characters (from left to right, Scanlan, Percy, Keyleth, Grog, Vax and Vex) are all shown reacting to the sight with absolute horror on their faces. What they see is stylised below: a massive tree with eight bodies hanging from there, including a tiny figure (a child) and a bear. The lines of the tree are red and turn into eight roots, two not quite reaching the (curved) bottom of the picture.

RIP Graham Greene. Every time he popped up on screen when I was a kid, my mom would excitedly point him out for being an actual Native on the screen. Able to be deadly serious and infinitely hilarious (even in smaller roles like Last of Us), he ate up the screen. Nʌki’wah brother.

POV: you died and wake up to your team staring at you like this :') (wanted to draw Pike's pre-stream resurrection from her POV 💛)

a digital drawing of a pre-stream event of the first campaign of Critical Role, Vox Machina. Pike Trickfoot, the gnome cleric and heart of the team, has met a grisly end at the hand of a demon; fortunately her team was able to rush her to a temple and she was brought back to life. The drawing is from her point of view as she lies on the altar and her teammates - her family - stare at her in various stages of tearful amazement: from left to right Vax, Scanlan, Vex, Trinket, Percy, Keyleth, and Grog, with the temple interior in the background.

Belphegor (Pantxika)@frenchbelphegor.bsky.social · last yr.

#watchmachina :o) Episode 17, "Hubris", after Grog suffers a crushing defeat against Kern: SCANLAN: I go down and nurse him, nurse his head, hold him, and just tell him, "Grog, you won! You did it, buddy!" GROG: I say nothing. KEYLETH: I go up and rub on him and [meows]. 🥺💜🥰 #criticalrole

a drawing made in black markers and coloured digitally of characters from the Vox Machina campaign of Critical Role. Grog, the goliath barbarian, has just been defeated in one-on-one combat and is not only bruised and bleeding, but crushed. Scanlan the gnome bard nurses his best friend's wounds and attempts to lifts his spirits, while half-elf druid Keyleth has transformed into a white sabertooth tiger and rubs against her giant friend to comfort him.

"Don't die until you're dead" has been a genuinely useful thought

What the heck is a "Notsobretheren" anyways?@notsobretheren.bsky.social · last yr.

I'm going to be real. Don't ever subscribe to the notion of "We're all doomed." over real world events, despite how reasonable it seems to do so. You aren't doomed until you're dead or dying. Don't fall into that hole. Be the smallest amount of positivity that some people are needing right now.

Gilmore ✨ First time drawing him! You know, like Laura Bailey's name should always be accompanied/followed by harp music, Gilmore's name should always be accompanied/followed by a sparkle emoji. He's glorious, you guys 🥰 #criticalrole #criticalroleart

a drawing in black markers with added digital colours of Shaun Gilmore, proprietor of the magical shop Gilmore's Glorious Goods and beloved NPC of Critical Role. He wears robes with elaborate patterns around the sleeves and middle (the artist tried, anyway), a braided beard and hair, and a sunny smile. The drawing is in black and white, except for purple elements of clothing and the magic sparkling from his fingers.

a screenshot of the first several paragraphs of the quote-skeeted article, with the following paragraphs highlighted in yellow:

“If I die, I want a loud death,” Hassouna wrote on social media. “I don’t want to be just breaking news, or a number in a group, I want a death that the world will hear, an impact that will remain through time, and a timeless image that cannot be buried by time or place.”

On Wednesday, just days before her wedding, 25-year-old Hassouna was killed in an Israeli airstrike that hit her home in northern Gaza. Ten members of her family, including her pregnant sister, were also killed.

The Israeli military said it had been a targeted strike on a Hamas member involved in attacks on Israeli soldiers and civilians.

You all need to treat Harry Potter IP like we’re treating the Tesla brand.

Twitter post/pohoto from JK Rowling who sits on what looks like yacht, taking a puff of what looks like a cigar. She holds a cocktail close to her face and looks smug as fuck. Text on tweet: I love it when a plan comes together. #SupremeCourt #WomensRights.

Text on screen: our.moral.imperative British billionaire JK Rowling has posted several gloating tweets today after the UK
Supreme Court ruled that only 'biological women' legally count as women, excluding trans women from legal protections and safeguards.
Rowling's vicious smear campaign against trans people in Britain has been going on for several years now and has played a major role in cultivating the extremely hostile and toxic environment that exists in the country towards trans people, particularly in the name of liberal 'feminism'.

Scanlan 2 seconds before meeting Pike: "As a fellow gnome, I'll handle the talking." Scanlan for an hour after meeting Pike: *forgets how words work* Redraw of a couple of frames from the Vox Machina Origins comics! I love these two so much 💜 #criticalrole #criticalroleafanart #voxmachina #pikelan

a redraw of a frame from the Vox Machina comics where Scanlan, Keyleth, Vex'ahlia and Vax'ildan meet Pike Trickfoot for the first time while searching for their friend Grog. Pike is opening the door to her house with a smile, looking up at the tall folks with a smile, asking "Hello, can I help you?" She has dark hair and a blue pinafore dress over a white blouse, and wears her Sarenrae pendant around her neck. We can see part of Scanlan's head in the foreground.

Immediately following the previous drawing, we see what Pike is seeing: in the foreground, Scanlan is staring at Pike with a lovestruck look on his face, going "uuuuuuhhhh..." and clearly struck dumb. In the background, Keyleth looks nonplussed. Vax is smirking softly and Vex has her arms crossed and raises an eyebrow, snarking at Scanlan, and saying "Wonderful talk, darling."

Here's my contribution for the Critical Frames project at @criticalframes.bsky.social! Here's Frame #237, which does have the gnomes I requested, if not quite in the way I thought it might :D #criticalrole #criticalrolefanart #criticalframes #voxmachina

A redraw of one of the frames of the "It's Thursday Night" opening of Critical Role, featuring Ashley Johnson and Laura Bailey (with the elbows of Sam Riegel on the left and Liam O'Brien on the right), but with the characters instead of the players. Chaos is erupting around the table: popcorn and gems fly, Pike looks panicked as she tries to catch everything with a bowl while Vex'ahlia embraces the chaos and looks gleeful. On the side, Scanlan and Vax'ildan are both drinking from their respective tankards.

The 9th level Counterspell made me cry last year, a LOT. And draw. 1/7 Happy 10th, @criticalrole.bsky.social! Here's to many more years - more laughter, more love, and more legendary moments like this one 💔 #criticalrole #criticalroleart #criticalrolefanart #voxmachina

a digital drawing in two parts depicting a scene from the end of Campaign 1 of Critical Role. In the top half, gnome bard Scanlan Shorthalt shown from chest to hips, right hand starting to glow with a spell. At the bottom, Sam Riegel, looking unsure, asking long-time friend and fellow actor/DnD player Liam O'Brien "Is it worth it?" to which Liam replies with certainty, "To keep him here? Yeah, he's getting away!"

I love to do screencap redraws and I don't do 'em enough. Anyway, this post on Tumblr was 100% right and a good excuse to draw my favourite gnome goober(s) 🤍💜 Maybe they're playing Bunions and Flagons with Grog (again)? #criticalrole #criticalrolefanart #voxmachina #piketrickfoot #scanlanshorthalt

A digital drawing of Scanlan and Pike from Vox Machina/Critical Role. Their positions and expressions mirror Sam Riegel's and Ashley Johnson's from the campaign 2 screencap shown in the previous reblog: Scanlan is looking down at something on the table, grinning with his fists up as if in anticipation, while Pike looks at him fondly. The drawing is clearly set some years after the end of Campaign 1, as they both wear a wedding band on their left hands.

screenshot from a Tumblr post with a picture from Campaign 2 of Critical Role, depicting actors Sam Riegel and Ashley Johnson. Sam is looking down at his character sheet on the table, grinning with his fists up as if in anticipation, while Ashley looks at her friend fondly. Tumblr user talesandstuff's caption under the picture reads "it's just Sam and Ashley but their expressions are so Pikelan coded".
