Cook County Assessor. Running to make the property tax code work for working families.

Cook County, it’s been the honor of my life to serve as your Assessor. Tonight wasn't what we were hoping for, but the fight for a fairer tax system continues — and I'll be fighting alongside you every step of the way.

Here’s the choice on Tuesday: Someone who will never take a dime from property tax lawyers and special interests, or someone who wants to sell out Cook County to all of them. I’m running for re-election to serve you and no one else. Make sure to vote by March 17!

I’m grateful for Ald. Beale’s support and for his partnership in reforming the property tax system. We need big corporations to pay their fair share so Cook County families pay less. Election Day is 3/17 — tell your friends to GOTV by this Tuesday!

As Chair of the City Council Finance Committee, Ald. Pat Dowell has pushed to make life more affordable for Chicagoans, and she understands the challenges homeowners face when big corporations and the politically connected receive handouts they don’t deserve. I’m grateful for her support.

Honored to have the support of Rep. Norma Hernandez, chief sponsor of the Municipal Built Homes Act – a bill we worked on together to address the housing crisis. Her leadership is helping bring new homes onto the tax rolls, broadening the tax base and making housing more affordable.

This one means a lot — I’m proud to have the support of my very own village president here in Oak Park! President Vicki Scaman sees the work we’re doing to make government more transparent and accessible. Honored to have her as a partner in this work.

Cook County’s congressional delegation is full of champions for working people, & I’m honored to have their support! These folks have spent their lives fighting for fairness & a govt that works for everyday people.  It’s all hands on deck for the next eight days, Election Day is 3/17!

My opponent says he's a Democrat, but his donors tell a different story. Pat Hynes is being funded by: Major MAGA donors, union busters, landlords who sued their own tenants, and property tax attorneys who helped Trump cut his tax bill. On March 17, send MAGA Pat packing.

I’m grateful for Ald. Quezada’s support, and for his commitment to closing loopholes that big corporations exploit to screw over homeowners. We have more work to do to relieve the tax burden on working families. I’m proud to be doing this work with him.

Appreciated the chance to sit down with CCAC and their members. They've been pushing for smart investment in Chicago's central business district since the 1950s. We talked about the progress we've made on commercial assessments and what's next for property tax fairness in Cook County.

Northfield Township Assessor Alida Nally is a true advocate for taxpayers — her office helped residents of Northbrook, Glenview, and Northfield slice $1 million off property tax bills last year. I’m honored to have her support in this race.

I'm fighting to make big corporations pay their fair share so homeowners pay less. My opponent? He's taken nearly $1 million from the special interests gaming the system. He's fighting for them, I'm fighting for you. Our new ad breaks it down:

When big commercial properties get tax cuts they don't deserve, homeowners pay for it. I was happy to sit down with CBS Chicago to talk about how I'm fighting to bring costs down for Cook County families with more tax relief and by making corporations pay their fair share.

Ald. Taliaferro is working to lower the tax burden on working families, particularly for homeowners in his ward. I’m proud to do this work alongside him, and he’s been a great partner hosting events throughout the 29th Ward to provide resources and assistance to anyone who needs them.

Big Tech is already driving up your utility bills with their AI data centers. Now their property tax lawyers are driving up your property tax bill, too. I'm running for re-election to stop corporations like these from getting property tax cuts they don't deserve. It's unfair, and it has to stop.

Rep. Syed is on the front line of lowering costs for working families as a member of the House working group on property taxes. I’m honored to have her support and look forward to continuing our work together to bring relief to homeowners in Cook County and across Illinois.

Big corporations have enough politicians in their corner. I'm working to make sure the system works for YOU. We've expanded tax relief for homeowners, helped create 15,000+ new affordable homes, and we're leading the fight to protect families from property tax spikes.

I was proud to cast my ballot today at the 69 W Washington early voting supersite. There are only 21 days until E-Day, so make a plan to vote if you haven’t already! Select early voting sites are already open in Chicago and Suburban Cook County, with more opening on March 2. Tell your friends!
