There are over 800 people sleeping on the streets of DC (& that’s a lowwwwball estimate). Almost all of them are Black & from DC. But we’re spending hundreds of millions & making exceptions for the occupying military force so they can continue to terrorize our neighbors.

The DC Council agreed unanimously that MPD should report federal agents who use force. Mayor Bowser just rejected this basic move to protect DC communities & chose instead the side of Trump, ICE, & this regime. We call on the Council to override this veto now. lims.dccouncil.gov/Legislation/...

Minnesota National Guard members have arrived at a federal building and were directed to distribute donuts, coffee, and hot chocolate to anti-ICE protesters. Guard members were issued reflective vests so they would not be mistaken for federal agents.

I cannot stress this enough, if ordered to do so, these people would be putting bullets in the heads of every single protestor without a second thought. This is imperial propaganda and military apologia at work. They are a threat to us here just as other branches are doing terrorism abroad. Wake up!

I just spoke with the White House after another horrific shooting by federal agents this morning. Minnesota has had it. This is sickening. The President must end this operation. Pull the thousands of violent, untrained officers out of Minnesota. Now.

For folks not in DC, Malcolm X Park is a huge gathering space for people in the middle of the city west of the river. We’ve hosted community events there, stop the bleed trainings, Narcan trainings. They’re deploying the military to a vibrant community space.

Heads up: The National Guard will patrol Meridian Hill/Malcolm X Park 24/7 "for the foreseeable future," per an email from the superintendent of Rock Creek Park. The request came from U.S. Park Police, which traditionally patrols the park, due to "high levels of incidents."

People are dunking on the posts from rapid response groups in the DC area about why they don’t use whistles But those groups are making these kinds of decisions after talking with a whole bunch of people in the targeted communities. They’re not doing it arbitrarily

My wheelchair won't turn on and a wheelchair technician won't be available until the 15th...
