There are over 800 people sleeping on the streets of DC (& that’s a lowwwwball estimate). Almost all of them are Black & from DC. But we’re spending hundreds of millions & making exceptions for the occupying military force so they can continue to terrorize our neighbors.

unraveled@unraveledpress.com · 3w agoHappening now in Chicago: community members and activists are in the La Villita/Little Village neighborhood to demonstrate against continued ICE violence in across the country. In just the last two weeks, ICE agents have killed 2 men. A 3rd died running from agents, and a 4th died in ICE custody.
Unraveled, and the orgs they worked alongside, provided the eyes on the ground for so much of the ICE resistance from Chicago and even followed up with Minneapolis coverage. Their spot is cemented in American history, they moved the country in a pivotal moment. Help them keep working and living.

Even my homie I dedicated my book to who converted me to anarchism in high school who’s never on here @blahdia.bsky.social was. Tons of my homies like @tichatnwa.bsky.social & @insatiableone.bsky.social are. If you’re down, being down with sex workers is part.
When I step outside there are two white people standing on the sidewalk with signs yelling "Checkpoint ahead!" A couple blocks up is a blockade of cop cars with sirens. This is something you see in DC under its occupation now. Community members, many white, follow ICE & cops to warn us of them.
DC's community is doing this to protect each other against fascism. And it's commendable many of these folks taking part are actually white, & they actually care about Black folks & immigrants & decided to serve a role for us all. @jl3001.blacksky.app @remorahousedc.bsky.social @spacelawshitpost.me
