Record profits and tariffs are two of the main drivers of our current inflation crisis. Not only are businesses keeping prices high and retaining all their profits, now they're getting our money back in the form of tariff refunds. We won't see a dime of it.

Will they send us our money back? Of course not. This whole thing was just another regressive tax scam to funnel money away from the working class.
If your business model relies on paying sub-living wages, providing zero benefits, and expecting workers to shut up and get in line, then you don't run a business. You run a legalized labor camp and we’re tired of pretending it’s not.

They can try and take their ball and go home even after California is the reason they are richer than god, but it wont make a difference. Firstly, this tax is retroactive to January of this year, and secondly, their businesses are inherently tied to California's ecosystem.

Any data center that forces a rate increase should have to cover every penny of it. Why are ratepayers picking up the energy tab for major corporations?
Prices skyrocket immediately but if they ever drop its as slow as possible. Stations use market pricing software to be "competitive" with neighboring stations however when those prices dont reflect lower costs, all stations prices stay elevated. Its algorithmic price-fixing. This shit needs to stop.

They’re dressing up pure societal failure now as people being financially savvy. Half of adults under 30 shouldn’t be forced into living at home. HALF!
In 1970, a new US home cost $23,400 (~$207k inflation-adjusted) & median family income was $9,870 (~$85k adjusted). Today, median family income is ~$105k, but the median home has exploded to $403,000. The price-to-income ratio jumped from 2.4x to nearly 4x for families.
It will never not be insane to me that someone could have a billion dollars and still fight tooth and nail to have even more money? Like, you won, it’s over, build a library or help end hunger. Fully fund endometriosis research and become a hero. Real unimaginative loser shit.
