Community sense check required… Reviewer asked us to show using proteomics that our new reagent doesn’t have off target effects. In a whole cell proteome, expression of one protein (our reagent) has changed. Reviewer: now you need to look at proliferation and viability assays. Feels unreasonable?
I love teaching in this space. Millions of times better than the lecture theatres I endured during undergrad days. Now I just have to hope the students turn up ready to hear about #lipidrafts
