Voting experts have warned that the order, even if quickly implemented, would confuse mail voters and wreak havoc on ballot counts.

Remember, it's virtually impossible to sue federal agents, so it will be basically impossible to hold ICE officers who shock people without justification accountable. We should not be giving new weapons like this to a law enforcement agency that enjoys near-total impunity.

I triple-checked to make sure this was a legit NBC News account, and unfortunately it is! x.com/JuliaEAinsle...

VERY interesting development here. Widespread reporting said the Burke Law Group got a $150 million contract to rep migrant kids. Now they say in a statement that the Trump admin approached them, they were only considering applying for a small grant, no application was submitted, and now they won't.

Statement on false reporting of an ORR contract with Burke Law Group

Underneath is the following: We appreciate ORR's confidence in Burke Law Group's ability to consider the possibility of overseeing a network of highly qualified immigration experts to serve the best interests of unaccompanied minors in a humanitarian crisis. We were approached by the Trump administration to fill a gap in legal services and we were considering how we might help.
Certain outlets misreported from the start that we had a received a $150 million contract when we were in fact only considering applying for a small portion of that amount under a grant to help address the humanitarian crisis. We have decided not to apply for a grant or a contract and we withdrew from consideration.

The perception of corruption surrounding everything this administration does is staggering. A 26-person law firm with no immigration experience just got a $150 million no-bid contract from HHS to represent migrant kids facing deportation — and surprise surprise, the firm is close to Trump.

A federal judge in Massachusetts issued another order blocking the US Postal Service from implementing President Donald Trump’s sweeping attack on mail voting and his attempt to create a national voter registration list before the midterm elections. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

Video of an ICE agent pulling a gun on a wife and mother, who is a US citizen born and raised in the area, near Bailey's Crossroads in Northern Virginia yesterday. Chillingly, they claimed she “almost ran them over” until she told them she had video proving that was a lie.

What new evidence is this based on? Which experts were consulted? If the data is compelling - why resort to an exec order? The White House & HHS continue to let misinformation and ideology drive vaccine policies and action taking - putting families & children at risk. 🎁 wapo.st/45REqVL

The president has pushed to narrow which vaccines are administered to children and split shots up into multiple appointments.
