I rarely turn off a film, but an hour into this nonsense I just had to. There was no way I was wasting another hour of my evening on poorly written characters and a meandering plot. Just an incredibly dull, soulless ‘blockbuster’.
#FisherPrice Adventure People toy line of the #70s and #80s. For me, one of the all-time great toy lines from back then. Easily up there with #StarWars and #MotU when I was a kid for playability and variation. Some of my own collection here including The Daredevil Sport Van and Sea Shark sets.
My newest night time TV watching ritual is the #90s classic ‘Strange But True?’ presented by Michael Aspel. A show I remembered fondly as a teenager. Definitely a contender for an inclusion in a 90s edition of @scarredforlife.bsky.social if we ever have the pleasure of reading one! #UKTelly
Probably my favourite #PickNMix or 10p mix sweet back in the #80s - Chocolate Skulls or ‘Skull Crushers’. They looked terrifying which is why they were so popular I guess! I was going to say they don’t make them like they used to @scarredforlife.bsky.social but apparently they still do! #UKSweets

Reading @outonbluesix.bsky.social fab book ‘The Golden Age of Children’s TV’ it got me remembering a book I had as a kid - ‘Wide Awake Club: Ghosts, Monsters & Legends’, so had to track it down. Early morning 80s kids TV scaring me with ghost stories - @scarredforlife.bsky.social territory for sure.
Reading @outonbluesix.bsky.social excellent book ‘The Golden Age of Children’s TV’ reminded me of this single in my parents collection growing up. Probably bought for my TISWAS loving older sister at the time. Randomly, we also had Sally James autograph from when she appeared at a local event! 😁

Remember that trend in the #80s of #MovieSoundtrack videos featuring the movie cast with the artist? #Videos at the height of #MTV popularity. #Ghostbusters, Jewel of the Nile, Stand By Me, St Elmo’s Fire. An oddity that I’m not sure continued beyond the 80s. Can anyone think of any other examples?

Started collecting these #DungeonsAndDragons Hologram cards. Available with Nabisco cereals in 1986. Had a couple as a kid, now on the lookout for that elusive 6th card to complete the set. Love the artwork on these. Another of my @scarredforlife.bsky.social creepy card collections from back then.

One of my childhood movie scar moments @scarredforlife.bsky.social. Cloak & Dagger, 1984. A sweet old couple turn out to be villainous spies & would-be child killers. Sounds bad enough but the old woman also has missing fingers. As a young kid, the whole reveal was creepy as hell.

Looked for some #horror films to watch recently that I hadn’t seen. First I tried #JeepersCreepers Reborn. After an ok intro, it quickly became an unwatchable mess, had to switch it off. Then a well overdue watch of House. I guess it’s a comedy horror, but wasn’t great at either genre! Oh well 😁
