I made dinner for my abuser a bunch of times. You have to play nice while you're planning your escape so you don't get dead. Max Miller is a textbook abuser.
asking honestly, why does anyone care about what James Carville says.
A good commissioner steps in now before every WNBA game becomes a rightwing performance space, like school board meetings were during peak CRT. You just have to throw the hammer down on this. Do not give them an inch.

i am convinced that @nytimes.com cooking section inserts mistakes and mildly confusing directions in order to drive engagement in their comments, :) i will just say, that seemed like a lotta leeks going into the oven. cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/7843...

Here is my controversial take after seeing "The Odyssey." It was fun! Great acting! Didn't feel long! (could have used with about four fewer trailers). Accidentally got seats in one of those immersive theaters that shake and blow wind, not sure about that part. :) Life is short, have fun.

Listening to Dylan series of dreams: I was thinking of a series of dreams Where nothing comes up to the top Everything stays down where it's wounded And comes to a permanent stop Wasn't thinking of anything specific Like in a dream when someone wakes up and screams Nothing truly very scientific
baking with rye flour should come w/ the warning that you'll be spend lots of time getting dough off your hands, and every surface, tool or bowl that it touched.
No wifi kindle battery low rebooting In flight entertainment system since not working could be a long 10 hours
Apparently I am on the very first direct Alaska flight from Heathrow to Seattle. Should be fun!
overheard in the airport bar: "I'd like two glasses of sauvignon blanc." "are you traveling with someone? Are they over 21?" Long pause. "She's 92."
Just discovered my 10.5 hour flight will not have wifi; good thing I've got latest books from @marthawells.com and @shannonchakraborty.bsky.social, as well as a few episodes of Daredevil season 2. I may make it!
From me 😊: Yes, but: More visibility is a blessing and a curse. Like Odin trading an eye for wisdom, seeing more comes with a cost: the burden of sorting a signal from noise. In a fragmented environment, judgment matters as much as access. www.axios.com/newsletters/...

I love many things about the writing of @nnedi.bsky.social but the thing I love the most is the absolute sense of place I get while reading her work. It is not my history or future she writes about, but she makes room for me to participate, to be amazed, to learn. ❤️ What a gift.
A cool-ish May sunday night in seattle so I'm slowly caramelizing big batch of onion to go with the greens i got at the farmer's market, Monday won't be any more fun but Sunday will end with smiles.
I've bought at least five books in the past year, just from seeing them here.
